Game of Thrones actress Maisie Williams has left fans questioning whether she has spoiled how the show ends ahead of its much-anticipated eighth and final season.
Williams, who plays Arya Stark in George RR Martin’s beloved fantasy series, posted a photo of blood-stained shoes to her Instagram along with a handful of eye-catching hashtags.
“goodbye belfast. goodbye arya. goodbye game of thrones. what a joy I’ve had. Here’s to the adventures to come [sic],” she wrote.
“#lastwomanstanding #barely #immasleepforthenextfouryears #justkiddingidontsleep.”
While the post was mainly about her wrapping up filming of a show she’s been a part of since its conception back in 2011, it also featured some curious hashtags. The one with the most interest to fans of the show was “#lastwomanstanding”, as a bloodbath is very much expected as the series wraps up, with the main characters simultaneously battling it out for the Iron Throne and fending off White Walkers.
Maisie Williams adding #lastwomanstanding on an IG post about her last scene as Arya on #GoT felt a bit like a spoiler. Whatever.

I can’t believe they really spoiled the ending of Game Of Thrones. This has to be a work!!! There has to be more to the story.

In addition to the post, fellow Game of Thrones actress Lena Headey, who plays Cersei, commented on it with one word: “Queen.” That’s sent the rumour mill into overdrive as fans attempt to decipher whether Headey was just being complimentary, or if Arya is genuinely destined to become Queen of Westeros.
Did @Maisie_Williams and @IAMLenaHeadey spoiler #GameOfThrones?? Bc Maisie posted a photo on Instagram with #lastwomanstanding and Lena commented it with "Queen". Am I reaching too much or did Arya become the Queen of Westeros? 🤔

Neither Williams nor Headey have removed their comments, despite the speculation about their meaning.
