Jon Snow’s Targaryen birth name revealed by Empire Magazine

As we are getting close to the premier of Game of Thrones Season 7 we are getting a lot of photos, videos and information about the season.

Game of Thrones Season 6 was one of the most amazing Season and one of the biggest reveal of the Season had to do with Jon Snow. After years of speculation that Jon Snow is the Son of Lyanna and Rhaegar and was disguised as Ned Starks’s bastard, it was revealed in season 6 as true.

This makes Jon Snow being a part of Ice and Fire. And Now his birth name might be revealed by Empire Magazine.

His birth name is not disclosed in the series yet. The detail was spotted by one of the Reddit user named theshivsharma from Freefolk subreddit and comes from the Empire Magazine’s Game of Thrones Season 7 special. It’s nothing out of the ordinary, so it looks like it’s safe to assume that it will hold true. Check it out, below :

So if believe this then Jon Snow birth name is Jaehaerya Targaryen. Snow is the name given to bastards in the North and Jon Snow is believed to be the bastard of Ned Stark as he was trying to pass him off as his own, it is natural that he chose to name him Jon Snow.

Now, talking about Jaehaerys Targaryen, the name is no stranger to the family. If that is actually his name, he will be Jaehaerys III.

The longest running Targaryen king was the Jaehaerys Targaryen and he had a reign of around 55 years and thus known as Jaehaerys the Old King, and also as Jaehaerys the Conciliator, Jaehaerys the Wise.

Jaehaerys II was the sixteenth Targaryen king, and father to Aerys Targaryen, the Mad King, and the great grandfather of Jon Snow.

We literally can’t wait for Jon Snow to know about his parentage so that he can finally use his true name. But as we all know Jon Snow he will probably want to stick to his current name.
