The Game of Thrones fandom has produced some of the most wondrous, bizarre tributes ever. Andrew Tarusov’s the Rybinsk-born, LA-based artist has reimagined the women of Westeros as pin-up girls.
Tarusov revealed while speaking to Moscow’s Solyanka VPA, an art gallery where his illustrations were exhibited, that the idea of it came from the fans themselves. The artist and animator, who watches Game of Thrones with his wife, is a fan of vintage pin-ups and experimented with one featuring Cersei. He then went on to post it on his thriving social media pages and, in his own words, “The audience was delighted and reacted positively.” The applause he received online prompted him to create a whole series, and we bet you’re glad he did.
Take a look at the Game of Thrones gals, like you’ve never seen them before.
